A Silent Juneteenth Vigil Honoring Black American Diasporas
Join us on Friday, June 19, at 8pm at the Sojourner Truth statue for a Juneteenth vigil. This social distancing event is a silent vigil honoring the Black American Enslaved Diasporas who were Enslaved 400 years ago. Also, honoring the strength of their descendants who are currently oppressed in modern America. On Juneteenth, we celebrate the fallen Afro-diasporas who died by the hands of systematic racism. We will light candles for the Ahmaud Arbery's, George Floyd's, and Breonna Taylor's of our world because all of their deaths will not be in vain. Please, make time to show your support to all Black lives taken by the bias system. Bring your own candles and light it up!
