2020 Student Scholarships Awarded

Four graduating seniors from Hampshire and Hampden Counties have each received a $1,000 scholarship in recognition of their social justice efforts from the Sojourner Truth Memorial Committee based in Florence, Massachusetts. Each year, the committee looks to honor graduating seniors who have completed social justice work or projects that align with the vision that Sojourner Truth believed in during her time living in Florence, MA (1843-1857). The Sojourner Truth Memorial Committee will be honoring the following seniors on Saturday, July 25, amongst their families, in a virtual celebration:

• Aarti Lamberg- Amherst Regional High School, Amherst, MA
• Pierre Tilus- Amherst Regional High School, Amherst, MA
• Zaiell Vargas- Holyoke High School, Holyoke, MA
• Kennedy Winslow- SABIS International Charter School, Springfield, MA

Each recipient will be attending college in the fall. We congratulate each recipient as they continue on their post-secondary journey.
