Stop #8: Laura Knowles Washington’s House
9 Florence Road was the home of Laura Knowles Washington and George Hodestia. Washington moved from Nonotuck Street where she had lived in the T.H. Jones family house. Hodestia was caretaker at the Park Street Cemetery and had been a slave in Maryland.
