Walking Tours Begin May 9; 10a.m. at statue in Florence

Sojourner Truth and David Ruggles Committees will offer once a month walking tours of the history of 19th c. Florence.   You will hear about Sojourner Truth, David Ruggles, Frederick Douglass and many more people who participated in the radical abolitionism of Florence in the 1840s-1860s.  Usually these walks will occur on the second Saturday of the month; we will meet at the statue at Park & Pine St., Florence at 10a.m. and the walk will last 1 1/2 to 2 hr.
