Asteroid Named for Sojourner Truth
Asteroid 249521, an object orbiting the Sun in the main asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter, was named "Truth" after Sojourner Truth.
The new name was officially sanctioned by the International Astronomical Union, which has the authority to name celestial bodies.
